All of that movie projection equipment will soon to be headed to the scrap heap or a museum. Our local old time theater is being forced to upgrade to pure digital projectors since all of the new movies will now come only on a hard drive instead of on celluloid at a cost of some $80,000. End of an era.

Interesting. It's just the gear, the building is rented.
There is a little movie theater for sale near my father's place; the Priest Theater in High Springs, Florida. You get the whole thing, tho - walls, seats, and popcorn machine.
I think what he was saying is our Altecs will be around as long as were here to protect them. Although I heard some Martin LogansWrong ! Can you buy New Altec anything today ? Nope. Gone but not forgotten.
